Descriptions

A region south of Damascus and east of the Sea of Galilee.
Hawran, also called Haurin, is a mountainous region in southern Syria. Joh. Eph., EH 3.40, mentions that Magnus, an official who held high ranks under Justin II and Tiberius, was a native of this region.8
