“Founded by a Syrian monk called Dios towards the end of the fourth century, one of the oldest monasteries in Constantinople. Its exact localisation is unknown, but Joh. Eph., EH 1.15, mentions that it served as a place of imprisonment for miaphysite clerics.” 4
