“Joh. Eph., EH 6.28, records Domentziolus as the curator, or overseer, of the Hormisdas palace in Constantinople. In this function, he was, in 579, sent to Armenia with gold to pay the mutinous Roman troops there. He remained an influential figure in Constantinople throughout Maurice's reign.” 3
