            Al-Nu'man ruled the Nasrid confederation of Arabs at the start of the 5th century. He constructed splendid palaces in his capital Hirta/al-Hira, as a result of which authors like Joh. Eph., EH 6.4 called the Nasrid capital 'Hirta of Nu'man'.
