“Joh. Eph., EH 4.9, recounts that Longinus was invited by the archdeacon Theodore (his nephew) and and the archpriest Theodosius, two miaphysite clerics in Alexandria, to come back from Nubia in 575 to ordain a new patriarch. These clerics are also known from the Documenta Monophysitica.” 2
