                    Aux jours de l’empereur impie Dèce, la première année de son gouvernement, il y avait une grande folie dans la majorité des peuples qui servaient les idoles.
                
                
                    ܗܟܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܫܬܒܚ ܗܘ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܠܒܝܫ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ. ܗܿܘ ܕܡܬܦܫܩ ܝܘܢܝܐܝܬ ܟܪܝܣܛܘܦܘܪܘܣ. ܘܐܫܬܒܚ ܒܗ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ. ܐܡܝܢ. ܐܣܗܕܘ ܕܝܢ ܒܥܠܬܗ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܟܪܝܣܛܘܦܘܪܘܣ ܢܫ̈ܐ ܬܪ̈ܬܝܢ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܫܡܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܩܠܢܝܩܐ ܘܐܩܘܠܝܢܐ ܘܪ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ ܒܡܢܝܢܐ ܡܐܬܝܢ ܫܬܠ̈ܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܥܡܐ ܐܪܒܥ ܪ̈ܒܘܢ. ܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܒܡܢܝܢܐ ܪ̈ܒܘܬܐ ܐܪܒܥ ܘܡܐܬܝ̈ܢ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܥܡ ܐܣܦܘܩܠܛܪܐ ܚܕ.
                
                
                    Ainsi fut glorifié ce saint revêtu du Christ, ce qui se traduit en grec “Christophoros” et en lui fut glorifié Dieu pour les siècles de siècles. Amen. À cause de saint Christophe subirent le martyre deux femmes, appelées Callinique et Aquilina, des Romains au nombre de 203 et des étrangers au nombre de quatre mille, tous ensemble au nombre de 4203 avec un speculator.
