                    ܫܪܝܘ ܙܝ̈ܙܢܐ ܠܝ̈ܛܐ ܢܦܩܝܢ ܒܟܠ ܡܕܝܢܐ. ܘܟܕ ܫܡܥܘ ܡܗܝܡܢ̈ܐ ܕܒܟܠ ܐܬܪ ܕܚܠ ܣܓܝ ܘܝܗܒܘ ܓܒܐ ܗܿܢܘܢ ܕܒܐܬܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ ܘܕܣܘܪܝܐ ܘܕܡܨܪܝܢ. ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܥܠ ܬܪܥܐ ܕܐܠܟܣܢܕܪܝܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܕܝܪܐ ܚܕܐ ܙܥܘܪܬܐ. ܘܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܗܿ ܚܡܫܐ ܕܝܪ̈ܝܐ ܝܚܝ̈ܕܝܐ. ܕܩܕܡܝܗܘܢ ܗܢܐ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܛܘܒܢܐ. ܘܡܪܩܘܣ ܘܐܠܝܫܥ ܘܝܘܣܦ ܘܐܫܥܝܐ.
                
                
                    Les mauvaises herbes maudites commencèrent à sortir dans toute ville et alors que les croyants avaient entendu que partout il y avait beaucoup de crainte et que ceux des pays des Romains, de Syrie et d’Égypte avaient ??? il y avait à la porte d’Alexandrie la grande un petit monastère où il y avait cinq moines solitaires; le premier d’entre eux était ce bienheureux Jacques, puis Marc, Élisée, Joseph et Isaïe.
