“Nous vous communiquons encore que le vingt Kanôn II de cette année, qui est l’année 835 des Grecs, nous sommes partis de Hîrtâ de Na‘man avec le vénérable prêtre Mâr Abraham, fils d’Euphrasios, envoyé par l’empereur romain Justinien à Moundâr roi des Arabes, pour qu’il fasse la paix avec les Romains.” 1

“Et ce qui est apparu au Christ Dieu bon pasteur, qui s’est livré pour son troupeau, et ce qui est utile, qu’il le fasse à son troupeau racheté par son sang précieux; à lui gloire… Amen. Du scribe. Ces choses, je les ai trouvées, et j’ai aussi enquêté sur elles et je me suis informé aurprès de gens qui circulaient dans cette région… Que par leurs prières le faible scribe soit gardé de tout mal.
