ܟܕ ܕܝܢ ܣܓܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܪܕܘܦܝܐ ܕܢܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܒܝܘܡܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܫܒܘܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܦܪ̈ܣܝܐ: ܕܕܘ ܢܨܝܚܐ ܝܕܝܥܐ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܒܦܠܓܐ ܕܡܠܟܐ: ܘܒܪ ܓܢܣܗ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܕܫܒܘܪ ܡܠܟܐ. 1
Alors que la persécution contre les chrétiens était forte aux jours de Shabour roi de Perse, l’illustre Dadô était connu dans la troupe du roi, et il était parent du roi Shabour. 1

Le martyre du saint fut accompli le vingt-deux du moi lunaire d’Éloul, la vingt-troisième année du règne du même Shabour. Que la prière et la supplication du saint soit un rempart… et tous ensemble avec toute la sainte Église, rendons gloire au Père… Amen. 1
