                    ܒܕܝ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܕܐܪܓܘܠ ܩܪܝܬܐ: ܣܒܐ ܘܥܬܝܩ ܝܘ̈ܡܬܐ. ܘܡܠܐ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܪܚܡܬ ܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ: ܘܒܚܘܒܐ ܕܐܟܣ̈ܢܝܐ ܣܓܝ ܪܬܚܿ ܗܘ̣ܐ.
                
                
                    Baday, prêtre du village d’Argoul, était un vieillard avancé en âge, plein de miséricorde pour les pauvres et tout brûlant d’amour pour les étrangers.
                
                
                    ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܬܠܬܐ ܝܘ̈ܡܝܢ: ܢܦܫܗ ܕܛܘܒܢܐ ܡܢܗ ܫܢܝܬ. ܐܬܟܠܠ ܕܝܢ ܢܨܝܚܐ ܒܚܡܫܐ ܒܬܫܪܝ ܩܕܡ ܒܕܣܗܪܐ.
                
                
                    Et après trois jours l’âme du bienheureux le quitta. L’illustre martyr fut couronné le cinq du mois lunaire de Teshrî I.
