Et le disciple du vieillard s’étonna de tout ce que le vieillard avait supporté à cause de l’engagement d’Euloge. Abbâ Daniel révéla cela à son disciple à son retour de Thébaïde. Il nous échoit d’admirer la miséricorde de Dieu qui en même temps exalte et abaissse comme dans notre affaire. Priez pour que nous aussi soyons abaissés par la crainte de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ pour que nous trouvions miséricorde devant le tribunal puissant, par le grand nombre des prières de tous les saints. Amen. 1
