ܒܫܢܬ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܕܩܠܘܕܘܣ ܩܣܪ. ܢܦ̣ܩ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܡܢ ܐܢܛܝܘܟܝ ܕܢܐܙܠ ܠܗ ܠܪܗܘܡܐ. ܘܟܕ ܥܿܒܪ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܡܣܒܪ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܒܐܬܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ. ܘܟܕ ܩܪܝܒ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܕܢܥܘܠ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܠܬܡܢ̣. ܫܡ̣ܥܘ ܗܘܘ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܘܢܦ̣ܩܘ ܠܐܘܪܥܗ. ܘܩܒܠܬܗ ܗܘܬ ܥܕܬܐ ܟܠܗܿ ܒܚܕܘܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ. 1
En l’an 30 du césar Claude, Simon Pierre quitta Antioche pour aller à Rome. Et en passant il annonçait dans les pays la parole de notre Seigneur. Et quand il fut près d’y entrer, beaucoup l’apprirent et sortirent à sa rencontre et toute l’Église l’accueillit avec grande joie. 1

Et de nombreuses années après le grand couronnement des apôtres qui avaient quitté le monde, alors que le pouvoir de leur sacerdoce prospérait dans toute Rome et dans toute l’Italie, il arriva qu’il y eut une grande famine dans la ville de Rome. 1
