“ܡܘܫܐ ܐܠܗܝܐ ܣܐܿܡ ܢܡܘܣܐ: ܗܘܿ ܕܠܐܫܬܗ ܕܝܡܐ ܓ̣ܠܐ: ܘܐܪܥܐ ܨܗܝܬܐ ܒܡܝ̈ܐ ܐܛܝܦ: ܘܐܚܪ̈ܢܝܬܐ ܬܕܡܪ̈ܬܐ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܬܐ ܥܒܕ: ܘܕܘܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܩܕܝ̈ܫܐ ܕܗܘܘ ܒܙܒ̈ܢܐ ܩܕܡܝ̈ܐ ܐܟܬܒ.”

“Nisibe est une ville aux confins de la Romanie et de la Perse, qui auparavant payait tribut à Rome et se trouvait sous leur pouvoir. De cette ville était le bienheureux Jacques.”
